Technician

Technician accounts are for mechanics and maintenance staff whose primary role is carrying out workshop work. Technicians view their assigned jobs, record the time they spend, capture the materials they use, and complete their report on maintenance performed.

Homepage

The homepage for Technician accounts is the Workshop Dashboard. The dashboard defaults to a view focused on work assigned to you, so you can quickly see what you are working on without the broader supervisory context.

The panels most relevant to technicians are:

Current Activity — your assigned requests and work orders. The default view is typically Assigned To Me, which filters the table to show only work where you are the assignee.
Time Recorders — a recent history of time you have logged against work orders.

Use the Dash Configuration panel at the bottom of the dashboard to adjust which panels are visible.

Work Orders

Work orders are created by your supervisor and assigned to you. Open a work order to see the job details, record the time you spend, capture any materials used, and complete your Technicians Report — a written record of the maintenance performed on the asset and any relevant findings.

Time Recording

You record time directly on each work order using a time recorder. Start the timer when you begin work and stop it when you finish. Your supervisor can review your time entries from the dashboard.

Materials

When you use parts or materials from the workshop store, you can record them directly on the work order. Active materials from the store appear in the Materials section of the work order — select the item and enter the quantity used.
